Speaker Profile:
Danny Goh
Danny is the Founder and CEO of Nexus FrontierTech, an awards-winning company that accelerates enterprise workflows by building AI solutions to automate intensive processes and enable effective use of data and sustainable value creation. He is a co-author of The AI Republic: Building the Nexus Between Humans and Intelligent Automation, a best seller on Amazon.
In addition, he is an Entrepreneurship Expert at the Said Business School, University of Oxford and an appointed Fellow at the Center for Policy and Competitiveness at the École des Ponts Business School. Danny is also an advisor and judge to several technology start-ups and accelerators, including Startupbootcamp IoT, LBS Launchpad and Pitch@Palace. He is also a visiting lecturer at various universities in Europe, and a speaker at multiple conferences including TEDx and World Economic Forum.
Danny is a serial entrepreneur and an early-stage investor. He is a General Partner of G&H Ventures, which invests in early-stage start-ups primarily in Europe and Asia. G&H Ventures has invested in more than 20 portfolios in deep tech and is building its second fund to help start-ups into the growth stage.
Kua Yi Ming
Yi Ming is the founder and venture partner of Krux Asia, a Venture Builder and Consultancy firm, whose focus is helping corporates innovate and establish new ventures. Yi Ming has 15 years of tech innovation and startup experience. His previous role was Managing Director in Grab where he launched and scaled the GrabRentals business to be one of the largest rental fleets in Singapore, raising more than US$1Bn in debt and equity financing and playing a pivotal role in establishing Grab’s presence in Singapore. He led the transformation of a traditionally asset-heavy industry into a more innovation-focused and data-driven one, combining his team’s experience in fleet operations and maintenance with the deep technological capabilities of Grab.
Prior to Grab he founded start-ups in the areas of marketing analytics and education and has held roles in the military, investing and consulting where he worked on transformation projects in MINDEF and WDA.
Yi Ming is also an Investment Committee member of Angel School, a network of more than 850 angels focusing on US, B2B and SaaS-focused startups. Yi Ming was an Singapore Armed Forces Merit Scholarship holder and has a Master’s of Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Yan Weiren (Tim)
Yan Weiren (Tim) is Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and Product Development at APS Asset Management. Prior to joining APS in August 2015, he held positions at DBS Private Bank, UBS Wealth Management, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Dow Jones Newswires. He graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science, Economics and Sociology, from the National University of Singapore (1999).
